what the fuck is up with ebay lately?!?!?! technically it is not ebay, it is the stupid fuckers who try and scam on there! technically again, i don't think the ones i am dealing with are actually trying to scam, but they are just plain STUPID!!!! i hate nothing more than stupid, ignorant people!!!!
well this latest guy, i think he is trying to scam.
i am so pissed and bob is working so i have noone to bitch at!!!!!!!!!!! so here i am..........
did i tell ya'll about the phone i won on ebay, well if not, i did. took forever to get here, but i finally got it on thursday. all excited, i opened it up, popped in my sim card, ready to go..........PHONE RESTRICTED!!
WHAT?!?! so it took him forever to get back to me and said the phone was locked, it did not say unlocked in his ad, it needs to be unlocked.
i was pissed. how could i have missed that. i CHECK for that!!! well whatever, i called cingular to see if they could help me. this wonderful guy at cingular, mike, tried to walk me through the steps to unlock it, but it did NOT work!!
in case you don't know, you only have like 5 tries to unlock it and after that it is totally locked and you have to pay big $$ to get it unlocked!
so i was like screw it. in the package, the guy had some instructions.....know what, i am just going to post the emails here!!!

i am trying to work this phone, but whenever i put my sim card in and turn it on, it says: phone restricted and i cannot do anything else. i have cingular service. any suggestions on what i should do now?

The phone is compatible with those carriers, however the phone is locked, you must get it unlocked and then your problem will be solved. The phone was not stated as unlocked. Sorry for any inconvenience.

you are positive that you had THIS phone activated through and it IS locked by rogers wireless, in canada??
i am on my 5th try at unlocking it, the cell phone place that is helping me is making some calls to try and figure out why it is NOT working, but i only have 2 tries left before it is permantly locked.

yes positive that it was locked by Rogers Wireless, and Yes it was working proir to being shipped, i used it for nearly a year before selling it and never had any complaints.
here i was just plain tired of messing with the whole thing, because i did find in the ebay ad that it DID state that it was unlocked.

you wrote it, you sent it, you misrepresented it on your add.....so am i going to get a refund, or are we going to have to deal with this through ebay and pay pal?
plus i already stated i was going to return it and you sent the return address.
i was trying to be all cool, and not get an attitude about the whole deal, hell i was still going to give you a positive feedback, so it is up to you.
if you want to do right and be a proper seller on ebay, then we can do the refund, if not i guess we make this whole transaction a lot more difficult.
i havent' heard back from him yet.....BUT
i went ahead and filed a claim with paypal. i was going to wait and try to resolve this nicely, but the way this guy is acting, he seems very shady, so i want a record of EVERYTHING!!!
i could just see him saying he would refund me, then never doing it or saying he never received the package.
so i filed the claim, there will be a record of all of this and i have all of his emails, plus the damn paper he sent saying there was a 100% guarantee.
WHAT THE HELL?! HOW CAN YOU DISPUTE THAT?!?!
so he has 20 days to give me my refund, or i will then escilate the issue to a full fledged investigation by paypal.
this is so dumb! give me my damn $86 dollars back, you'll get your phone back, you can sell it again on ebay, and that is that. what is the problem?!
i am just so ready to give up ebay. hopefully the other phone that i ordred will come and it will work! i hate bob not having a phone! it sucks when i need to get a hold of him! and what if something happens and i NEED to get a hold of him?! going through work takes forever....i have to know the department and job and blah, blah, blah!!!!
