~7-9-04~ I got zapped!

well, today was the day! my eyes are officially LASIK'd.

let me tell you how awful it was!!!!

i didn't much like the actual procedure. i mean it didn't hurt or anything, it was just uncomfortable. i hated when they put those thingys on your eyelids to keep you from blinking....then they had to put this suction thing on your eyeball to cut the flap, that was the bad part. it only lasted about 20 seconds, but it pushed on your eyeball and you lost vision in the eye. then you had to watch this blinking light for about 20 seconds while the laser did its job. you heard the clicking, and smelt burning, but didn't feel anything. same for the other eye. i got some sunglasses, and then i was done it really only took about 10 minutes! everything was blurry but i could tell i could actually see better. then i got in the car and we started home, that is when the HORROR started.

talk about burning!!!!!!!!!!!!

imagine cutting about a million onions, and then jalapeno peppers and then smashing them in your eyes!!!!! oh the burning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i couldn't even open my eyes they hurt so bad!!!! i came home and then started crying they hurt so bad. at first i couldn't even cry, cause they stung so bad! i went straight to bed.

now, thank god and everything, and everyone else possible that now the burning has stopped!! they are swollen and feels like i have a sandbox full of sand in my eyes, but at least they do not burn anymore!!

i have to put a ton of drops in them, they sting a bit, but at least that only last for a second or 2, i don't think i could bear the earlier stinging anymore!! at first i didn't even know if it was worth it, that is how bad it hurt.

so now i am wearing my funky goggles. i'll try to take a pic and post it so you can see how cute i look! haha. i have to sleep in these god awful things for a whole week!! but it is a trip, i can actually see! i am sitting here typing and i can see!!!

my eyes just feel very, very tired. so it is kind of hard to keep them open.

i'm gonna go rest them now, just wanted to let you all know how everything went today.
