~6-24-04~ Swimming
We are getting Clay used to the pool. he went in yesterday with bob, and he even went under. to our surprise he didn't freak out!!!!! now this child freaks when i wash his hair and water gets in his face starts screaming!! what the hell?! oh well. i thought for sure, because of the bath thing, he wasn't going to like the pool much, but he does! yipee!!!!
the only bad thing is that the thing he likes most is climbing up and down the damn ladder. what a pain in the butt that is. even if we aren't swimming, he has to go up and down. and now the down is jumping into your arms. so now we have to take the ladder out and lay it on its side if we aren't using it.
i'm getting excited for bob's vacation. i can't wait to go to the zoo. i've decided to go to the cleveland zoo. i think there is more to do there than the akron zoo. granted i've never been to the one in akron, but i LOVE the cleveland zoo!
that is the first place i have ever been to a butterfly "house", and i am addicted. i love the one in niagara falls. plus the whole rainforest deal is great too. i figure if it gets too hot at least i know we can go inside to the rainforest, and there still be a ton to look at and do.
i'm hoping to do that on wednesday, well actually i'm going to check the forecast for the coolest day. the last time i remember bob and i going is was so god awful hot, all the animals were hiding trying to keep cool themselves.
monday i have to finally get started on my root canal. that week along with the zoo i also want to go down to amish country. i am in desperate need of candles!!!! they used to have a warehouse right down the road from me, but it has closed, so now we have to head down there. i like it though. i love going to all the different shops, plus it isn't too far of a drive. i also thought maybe thursday we would go to the hartville flea market. the last time we were there, years ago, i was sort of disappointed, but since he is off, i figured we could give it a try. along with all that, there is a TON of stuff that needs done around here. bob thinks he is going to build a huge type flower bed out in front, but i honestly don't see that happening. it would be nice and pretty, but we will see. i'd rather get the yard set up to put up the swing set that we are planning on getting clay, or i should say my mother is getting for him. it's HERE.
our biggest dilemma with that is what to do for the ground. i don't want it to be grass, cause it will be a pain to mow around and weed eating, is not an action in bob's brain. i thought about mulch, like they have at the playground, but i don't think that would be comfy for bare feet. i'd really love sand, but i don't feel like having the neighborhoods largest litter box in my back yard. so then i got the idea of outdoor carpet. we are going to til up the ground and then somehow put that down over the area, the hopefully encase it with railroad ties, preferable, but the are expensive, or somekind of landscape edging. i think it will look nice, but we will see. if not guess we will just have to stick with grass, and bob will just have to start weed eating more than once every few years. if you all have any other suggestions, i'd love to hear them.
well that is about it from here.....not too exciting or anything, so i will leave you with a link to a blog i read, My Daily Rambles . i don't know if it will take you to the exact entry, if not check out the entry: Disgusting 6-23-04. TOO FREAKIN FUNNY!!! so hopefully i can end with you all laughing!

We've been to both Akron and Cleveland zoo. We just went to the Cleveland zoo last week -- and loved it! The Akron zoo is coming along -- much much smaller -- but it's a good starter zoo! Either way -- you'll have a blast -- ENJOY!!
By the way - saw the link to Wal-Fart -- what is up with you wasting money there? Shop Target or Kmart!!!
Hee hee, thanks for the link, but anyone that read it was probably just grossed out! -Heather
