so the movies this weekend:
brother bear. it wasn't as cute as i thought. it was more of a serious movie. there were some funny parts. the moose, they were a trip. these birds at one point were hilarious! shut up, no you shut up, no you shut up...hahahaha!!! gotta see it to appreciate it. :) i cried of course. you know they can't ake a cartoon where no one dies!!!! and of course i cry for the happy parts too! there were quite a few bonus dvd features, so that was a plus. i guess i give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
cheaper by the dozen. it was ok. the whole time i just kept thinking and saying how in the world do you manage with 12 kids?!?!?!?!? my fraternal grandmother(my dad's mom) had 9 and my fraternal great grandmother(my dad's dad's mother) had 12!!!! so i was actually a bit frazzled through some of it where the kids were just going nuts. and i kind of didn't like how the parents couldn't persue their career goals, the kids totally worked against them.....but then again, when you become a parent, especially of 12 kids, you have to make some sacrifices. i don't know. like usual, i think i just got to literal about everything, and didn't appreciate it as just a movie!! but alas, i still cried a few times. this dvd also had a few extras, that were ok. i think this too, i will give 3 stars.
cat in the hat. well i hate mike myers, but at the time there wasn't else much out to put on our netflix queue. i meant to change it before it was sent, but i was too late, so we got this. i love the little girl in it. i think she is adorable. if any of you saw her on leno the other night, she is just too, too, too, too precious!!!! anyways, i fell asleep for about 90% of the movie, so i don't think it would really be fair for me to rate it. it had a lot of dvd extras, but most were only like 2 min long!!! what the hell?!?! so when i talk to bob about it, i'll see what he rates it, but i don't much trust his taste in movies either though...so we will see :)
