~7-16-04~ Whew!

i busted my ass today!!  ok, why does this look different to me?  what did blogger do now?!  great something else for me to play with.
 
anyways........i busted butt today buddy!  i must admit that it does feel pretty damn good when i actually do something around my house.  i wish to god i would have taken before and after pictures.  i pulled all the weeds beside our garage, cut down about a million lilac trees, i swear those things are weeds!!!!!  then did the same thing to the side of the house.  i may be able to come up with a few pics that have the garage in the background to show ya.  it looks sooooo different.  it actually makes my backyard look bigger with all the weeds gone from the garage.  it looks so pretty that now i want to plant flowers!  yeah now that summer is half over!  i was thinking about either getting some fall flowers, or just ordering some bulbs and get them planted for next year.  i'm sort of excited.  guess we will see what happens!
 
so had something freaky happen to me just a bit ago.  felt like i was in some horror movie.  so i was feeding the cat, and i kind of heard some scratching noise, thought i heard some squeaky, but then again my cat was meowing my ear off wanting his food.  so i heard this sort of scrathcing, i have dropped ceilings in the kitchen and these hoopy fluoresent lights with the groovy plastic coverings, anyways i figured a bug was up there and it was flying around hitting the plastic.  i don't know what happened but all of a sudden i heard scuttle, scuttle, scuttle and saw something fly over my head.  all i see was some shadow shoot accross the ceiling.  i yelled for bob, of course he didn't hear me at first.  i thought i heard more than 1, but only saw 1.  so now, yes i have mice!!!!  it is weird cause i put some stuff away under the sink tonight and i saw some mouse poop.  i was like what the hell?!  then i thought it was old, cause we were just under there moving stuff out trying to get our dishwasher to quit leaking.  i said something to bob and that was that.  then what a few hours later i actually see them!!!!  so they must be new.  they probably figured we just got rid of one pest problem, so there was a vacancy, so they moved in.
 
how in the hell did they get in the ceiling?!?!  so now i am in a bit of a spot.  i really, really, really, really do NOT want to kill them.  i told you in the previous post, i don't even kill bugs unless they are going to bite me.  how am i going to kill a cute mouse?!  so i don't know what the fuck we are going to do!  does this shit ever end for me?!
 
i called the insurance company today about my hail damage.  they are going to send an adjuster out and i have to get an estimate.  so i am kind of hopeful about that.  not that i really have the extra money to spend right now, but heck if the insurance company is going to kick in some $$ i better do it now.  i went out and looked again today, and you can really see it, i don't know how the hell we have went all this time and never noticed.  i guess it is cause my house generally looks like shit, so i just attributed it to that.  i was thinking of getting it painted soon.  i guess i will check out prices and see.  you can't really see the dents, more just the scuff marks from the hail.  she asked if the roof was damaged.  well i know it is messed up and needs a new one, doubt the hail did any worse damage than already there, but i guess we will see.  maybe if it is a lot cheaper to just paint it, i'll just do that next year.  i just want it to look good to sell soon!  i'd love to do it soon, but maybe next year. 
 
i also made the mistake of checking out houses and i found a ton that i just LOVE!!!  not as much as the one i found last winter/spring, but nice.  maybe i'll post some here.  HERE is one.  THIS is one of my favorites, but it doesn't have much land.  same with THIS one.  i am not kidding i have over a hundred on my list.  i don't have all the details in front of me, maybe i will just post a few each day.  there are 2 that i really loved, for some reason they came up on a canton and vicinity search, but are not near canton!!!  they are in new jackson, not jackson right down the road.  i was so upset.  they were really nice!!  figures!
 
i love looking at houses!  even though it depresses me!  i can't wait to move, but i am sooooooooo not looking forward to getting this place ready to sell, the cleaning and the packing, UGH!!!!  i may have to get in a mood where i just start throwing stuff out, something i NEVER do.  but i just hate moving with  passion!!!!!  i swear the next time i do it will be the last, so i have to make sure it is all that i want and will need!  i just want it done before clay starts school.  so i guess i have a few years, even though i would like it to be sooner than later.
